Regret

I always thought regret was fake
that what you've done was NOT a mistake
But an action of your deeper inner soul

Last night I did something so very wrong
and I'm acting so strong...
But I don't have a clue what to do
I just hope with all my heart we're not through...

I've hurted you...I know I did
I never thought I would feel that way...
but I regret it
I just wish I could take my words from last night away

I didn't now what I had
'till yesterday
I think I've lost you...and that really drives me mad...
